We open the route
of the world
to your door.
Your supplier only sells ex works, or will not sell to you at all. We buy the goods, export them under our own registration, clear customs both sides and deliver to your door. Where you have no company in the country, we become the supplier. One contract, one price, one point of contact.

The problem with ex works
A supplier who quotes EXW has handed you everything: export clearance in their country, the certificates, the freight, the import declaration, the delivery. Legally, you become the exporter of goods leaving a country where you have no establishment and no registration.
Most buyers solve this by assembling six suppliers — a forwarder at origin, a customs agent at origin, a vet or chamber of commerce for the certificates, a carrier, a customs agent at destination, a final-mile delivery. Six contracts, six invoices, and six parties who point at each other when a consignment stops at the border.
The second bar has no separate supplier on it, and that is the point. We buy the goods ourselves, so from your side there is nobody upstream of us. You place one order, receive one invoice at a delivered price in CFR, CIF or DAP, and the goods arrive. We become the supplier.
What we take on
-
We buy from your supplier
Purchase ex works, in their currency, on their terms. They do nothing they do not already do for a domestic customer.
-
We export under our own registration
Export declaration, health certificates, certificate of origin, preferential origin where the trade agreement allows it.
-
We import in the destination country
Import declaration, prior notification, border control post where the goods require one, duty and VAT.
-
We deliver
To your warehouse, your store, your distribution centre, or direct to your own customer — including delivery inside your own country, so you buy from a domestic supplier rather than an importer.
Where we are strongest
Products of animal origin — meat, dairy, fish, eggs — are the hardest category in food trade. They need an approved establishment at origin, an export health certificate, prior notification, and physical inspection at a border control post. Most intermediaries decline them.
We handle them, and we check the origin establishment holds the approval for your destination market before you commit to anything. If it does not, we tell you at once and look for a source that does.

Buying and selling where you have no company in the country
To buy abroad you need an importer of record. To sell abroad you need an address on the label from an operator established in that market. Either way, the usual answer is to incorporate a company in the country — and that is where most projects stop.
We become the supplier instead. Our British, European and American entities take title to the goods, act as the named importer, and appear on the label as the responsible operator. You reach the market without incorporating a company in that country, and without employing anyone there.
Brands we distribute
We are also an importer in our own right, under our own brands and exclusive distribution agreements.
Quick service and takeaway chains buy finished lines from us: French brioche, sauces, meat, cheese and South East Asian imports. Food manufacturers buy bulk ingredients: cream, sauce bases and dessert preparations for their own production.
Trade catalogue, specifications and pallet pricing are at foodbybox.com. Bulk ingredient enquiries come to us directly.
It is also the reason the export side works. We source from Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States and South East Asia, and we run our own stock through the same customs, certification and transport chain we operate for clients.
Start with the paperwork, not the shipment
Before anyone commits, we establish whether the operation is possible: establishment approval, product eligibility, customs classification and duty, certificates required, and the points where it could be stopped. You get a written report.
If you then award us the operation, the fee comes off the invoice.
